Glory Days Grill, a chain with locations in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Florida, recently opened a new location in Lakeside Village.  The sports-bar features affordable American cuisine concocted by Chef Tony, a man who believes in the pursuit of ingredient knowledge and organic farming.  It’s his passion and pursuit to make customers happy, and he finds great honor in serving his guests.  Glory Days waiters undoubtedly take pride in their service as I had a phenomenal dining experience.  The waitress made sure our drinks were full, the atmosphere was eye-catching and interactive and the food was simply delicious.

At first glance, Glory Days appears very similar to other sports-bar type restaurants. Like Buffalo Wild Wings, Glory Days restaurant is decorated with over 25 televisions for customers to enjoy while they eat and socialize. However, Glory Days takes things one step further, offering speaker boxes at every table so that you can tune into the channel you’re watching right at your table!  Commonly provided channels include the Big Ten Network, ESPN, NFL Sunday Ticket, College Extra, NHL Center Ice and MLB Extra Innings.  Glory Days also has an outdoor patio fitted with high-top bar tables and couches for customers to enjoy the warmth on those sunny Florida days.  As a 13x Best Sports Bar winner, Glory Days is the place to be on game day.

Menus vary slightly by location, but all offer similar dishes.  At all locations, menus include Starters, Bowls and Flatbreads, Glory Days Classics, From the Grill, Specialty Burgers, Handhelds, Wings and the Field of Greens and Gumbo.  On my first venture to Glory Days, I tried the Pulled Pork Rice Bowl – a combination of pulled pork, rice, fresh avocado, corn and romaine lettuce mixed with hickory chipotle and fresh cilantro.  Needless to say I was going through water quickly – that hickory chipotle had some spice to it!  The meal came out hot and was satisfying in every way.

Specials offered by Glory Days include Happy Hour, Late Night App Specials and Daily Specials.  Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. and includes specials on house wine, tap beer and rail mixers.  After 9 p.m., divulge in $5 appetizers including mozzarella sticks, onion rings and even chicken wings.  Each weekday, Daily Specials are offered.  On Burger Monday, customers can bite into Glory Day’s savory and juicy classic burgers all day for $5.99 and 24 ounce tangy, sweet margaritas can be sipped on for $5 on Margarita Tuesday.  If you come in on Wednesday, you can catch $5 crisp flatbreads and flavorful boneless wings, and on Nacho Thursday you can order glorious nacho platters for only $5 as well.  Wrapping the week up is Fabulous Fish Fry Friday, a $9.99 all-day fish fry that includes fried cod, creamy coleslaw, crispy seasoned fries and tartar sauce. You definitely don’t want to miss it!
