This holiday season, the FSC Festival of Fine Arts will present two musical events. On Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m., the Department of Music presents “Magnificat,” a combination of the FSC Concert Chior and the FSC Symphony Orchestra preforming peices of “musical adoration” based on John Rutter’s Magnificat.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the annual Christmas gala will provide the best of the season’s music. This year’s theme is “Holiday Reflections,” and will feature various types of music from students, faculty, and guests. The show will take place at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Both of these preformances will be in Branscomb Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for students, and free for FSC faculty, staff and students with an I.D. Visit the Branscomb Auditorium box office for more information.

In addition to the Festival of Fine Arts events, the college community will officially welcome the Christmas season with the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols. This annual event that welcomes students, faculty, staff and area alumni, is scheduled for Dec. 3.

The event features Christmas readings by students, faculty and staff and traditional carol music by Department of Music faculty and students. It concludes with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree.
