Long gone are the days of coming home from school, sprawling out on the couch, and tuning into old shows like “Boy Meets World,” “Phil of the Future,” “Even Stevens,” and even “The Amanda Show.” Years have flown by and we have all grown up to leave our after school programs behind, and so have the stars of those shows. Where are they now?

Ricky Ullman, star of the 2004 Disney Channel show “Phil of the Future” took a subtle absence from the screen after his chain of roles through Disney. Since 2006, his quick appearances in commercials and minor roles in small name TV shows like “The Middle Man” and “Rita Rocks” leave us with the nostalgia of the days we saw him in “Phil of the Future” and “Pixel Perfect.”

Today Ullman is working on his supporting role in the upcoming film “Spring Break ‘83” to be released later this year.

Shia LaBeouf took a very different route with his acting career after his role as Louis Stevens in the hit Disney Channel show “Even Stevens.”

He began taking on much more mature roles in films such as “Disturbia,” “Eagle Eye,” “Indiana Jones,” and of course the Transformers series, making him one of the biggest names of the decade in Hollywood.

However, LaBeouf seems to be retiring from his life in the spotlight with his recent act at the “Nymphomaniac” premiere.

On the red carpet his front of all the paparazzi and screaming fans, LaBeouf put a paper bag over his head with the words “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE” written in large letters. This odd behavior is rumored to be his retaliation after being accused of plagiarizing Daniel Clowes for his short film “Howardcantor.com.”

Another name that has stayed very much in the spotlight is Amanda Bynes, but with a recent negative twist.

After becoming immensely popular among young audiences for her Nickelodeon sitcom “The Amanda Show,” Bynes took Hollywood by storm with numerous roles in film and TV such as “What I Like About You,” “She’s the Man,” “Hairspray,” and “Sydney White.”

However, beginning last year Bynes began taking a turn for the worse when she started attacking fellow celebrities on Twitter, was caught smoking marijuana in her Manhattan apartment and getting in trouble with the law for traffic accidents and a DUI.

She was finally admitted into rehab September 2013 where she received assistance for her addictions and outlandish behavior. Today the 28-year-old star is out of rehab and attempting to turn her life around for the better.

One of the most popular sitcoms on TV during the 90’s was “Boy Meets World,” a show about a boy growing up and experiencing the problems and rewards of life. The series was a huge hit and aired for seven years on ABC.

The lead role of Cory Matthews was played by actor Ben Savage who has appeared in many other shows since his big break on “Boy Meets World” including “Chuck,” “Without a Trace,” and “Bones.”

Today many fans of the original show will be pleased to know that he and the previous cast of “Boy Meets World” have joined together to film the new series “Girl Meets World.”

The show will center on Cory and Topanga’s youngest daughter named Riley, who will face life lessons and experiences just as her parents did growing up.

“Girl Meets World” is currently in pre-production with no official release date.
