Following the FSC women’s soccer team’s elimination in the second round of the SSC playoffs, head coach Gerry Lucey announced his retirement. He plans to move to Long Island with his family at the end of the year. 

Intramural sports at Florida Southern College have become more than just a recreational option; They’re a cornerstone of campus life. With nearly 70% of students engaging in activities at the wellness center and about 30% participating directly in intramural (IM) sports, these programs serve as one of FSC’s most impactful student experiences. 

The conference season finale for three esports teams took place on November 8, but not without tremendous controversy and a tumble off the stage.

Before the season, the men’s cross country team was slated to win the Sunshine State Conference Championship for the third year in a row in the coaches poll. The Mocs did exactly that.

The men’s soccer team wrapped up its season earlier in November, falling to Palm Beach Atlantic in the SSC Championship Quarterfinals. However, reaching that stage required considerable determination and focus, as the team needed a late-season surge just to get there.

On this day in FSC history, the Men's soccer squad defeated Lynn University by a score of 1-0. 

Coaching Division II sports is a tall task for most, but it becomes even tougher when there’s a newborn child involved. That’s the exact task that Head Volleyball Coach Ashlee Crowder has been assigned.

While FSC contains a diverse group of cultures on campus, the men’s tennis team is a true melting pot in every sense of the phrase. Out of the 20 players, 13 hail from foreign countries, which creates a unique experience compared to other sports. 

FSC men’s and women’s swim teams are under new leadership for the first time in over seven years. Head coach Steven Bostick became the sixth head coach of both teams in program history this June, filling the role Andy Robbins left in the wake of his retirement.
