Florida Southern will conclude regular season play on Saturday, March 3rd, in Jenkins Field House against Rollins College. Both games will will include celebrations for seniors as they play their final game in Jenkins Field House.
The No. 19 women (23-3, 16-2 SSC) come into senior night having previously defeated Rollins (10-14, 7-11 SSC) on Jan. 19 in Winter Park by a score of 78-61.
For the women, Camille Giardina, Anja Fuchs-Robetin and Mercedez Claybrone will play their last regular season game in the Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House.
The women have claimed the Sunshine State Conference regular season championship outright on Feb. 23 after a 25 point victory over Barry. They have also clinched the top seed in the SSC Tournament and will host a first-round game on March 6 in Jenkins Field House.
The No. 23 men (20-6, 13-5 SSC) look to revenge their Jan. 19 loss to Rollins (9-17, 3-15 SSC), where they fell in Winter Park, 69-83.
For the men, Jonathon Lawton, Ben Marello and Slinky Jones will tip off for the last time at home.
The Mocs have fallen to the third seed in the SSC rankings as Nova Southeastern has clinched the regular season title. They have clinched a spot in the SSC Tournament and will host a first-round game on March 6.
Jones has also advanced to the second round in the 2019 Dark Horse Dunker Competition, defeating Malik Moore from South Carolina Upstate 58.78 percent to 41.22 percent. He now faces Cameron Jackson from Wofford College, who defeated his first-round opponent by 0.3 percent.
The second round runs until March 6 with Semifinals from March 7-14 and Finals runing from March 15-22.
