Tropical Storm Helene sparks power outage on northeast side of campus
Earlier this morning, around 10:30 a.m., the northeast side of Florida Southern’s campus lost power. Students located in Jenkins Residence Hall, Dell Hall, Miller Hall, and Hollis Hall experienced a complete loss of power, air conditioning, and WiFi network connection, alongside Publix Commons– more commonly known as the Greek Suites.

The center boasts a 5,000 square foot weight room, a theater for film review, and office suites for the basketball team on campus. Originally slated to open in spring of this year, the project has taken slightly longer than expected, and is currently still in construction, with the exterior completely finished.
